Manners Class

The Manners class is the foundation class, it is the prerequisite for all other group training classes.

• You will be introduces to the positive reinforcement training methods. A clicker, as a training/communication tool, will be supplied and its use encouraged but it is not mandatory that you use a clicker in the class.
• You will learn how to use the clicker/marker effectively and why it makes learning so much easier for your dog.
• You will learn about motivation and why it is so important to get your dog to do the behavior you want.
• You will learn how to teach your dog to “think” and expand his/her brain.

The behaviors covered in the class are:

• sit on cue
• down on cue
• come when called
• stay
• take it
• leave it
• walk on a loose leash

The manners class is 8 weeks long.
